Routinely travels to customer sites to perform complex tests and repairs of Covidien products to satisfy customers’ equipment needs
If required, perform complex tests and repairs of Covidien products in the workshop
Performs technical assignments such as assembly of complex equipment and parts to satisfy customers’ equipment needs
Maintains accurate and timely records, technical data and testing documentation
Provides technical and clinical support and explanations to customers and sales force to resolve product problems
Observes product in use in surgery to determine if customer problems are equipment or user related
Installs modifications to existing equipment to upgrade safety or performance features as authorised by OEM suppliers and/or Covidien
Responsible for staying informed about all applicable new rules, regulations and standards
Participates in team decision making and develops team problem solving and communication skills
Demonstrates skill in the use and care of all tools and equipment
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and all other applicable skills
Follows all safety procedures
Position requires up to 70% travel
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

| Requirements
|
|
Degree (or equivalent qualification) in an appropriate subject
Relevant experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electronic and electro-mechanical equipment
Experience in servicing medical devices would be an advantage
Computer experience is essential
Good command of English language (including written).
